We are the first people the guest sees when entering the hotel, and the last ones they see before they leave. A Hotel Receptionist needs to be able to multi-task and remain calm—even when dealing with an angry guest. I’m originally from a suburb of New York City, but I moved to Malibu, CA nine years ago. I absolutely hated Los Angeles when I first moved. I felt like there was no community and no togetherness—something I have now realized is so important to me.     I’ve always thought I had a vision of what I wanted to do, but since starting college everything that I thought I wanted has completely changed. I want to move back to New York when I graduate, I feel more comfortable and confident in New York. I want to help people and create opportunities for people who traditionally don’t have them.
